The advantages of dental veneers

Dental veneers are thin ceramic films that are attached to the outside of the tooth. They “replace” only the outer, most visible part of the tooth, but do not require removal or devitalization of the natural tooth to do so. It’s more a question of masking defects in the tooth to correct its appearance or coloring. Once fixed, the veneer blends in perfectly with the rest of the dentition, and the result, reproducing the natural appearance of the tooth, is undetectable. You can treat a single tooth as well as several, or even a whole row of teeth! Studio Dentaire works with Munich-based prosthetist Sébastien Mosconi, who creates custom-made dental prostheses such as veneers from impressions of the teeth taken at our practice using an optical camera. This cutting-edge technology enables us to scan your jaws in a matter of moments and produce a 3D impression of your teeth, which we then transmit to our partner. No more soft, unpleasant paste to hold in the mouth for long minutes! The result is a veneer designed to blend harmoniously with your smile.

What is the procedure like at Studio Dentaire?

It’s easy to get dental veneers in Lyon with Studio Dentaire: during your first appointment at our office, we’ll take stock of your expectations together, then offer you a complete aesthetic assessment spread over two 1.5-hour sessions.

The aim of this preliminary step is to ensure that the final result is as harmonious as possible with your face and smile, and respects your personality. To achieve this, we take photos and videos to capture the natural movements of your mouth, and diagnose your smile using Digital Smile Design software. We design your veneers online, then create a wax mock-up that will allow you to “try on” your new smile and validate the appearance of the veneers.

A fortnight later, once these are ready, we’ll make an appointment with you at our dental office in Part-Dieu for the final fitting.

This quick, painless procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. Your dental surgeon cuts away only a small part of the visible enamel so that the veneer can be attached using a special adhesive. This minimally invasive procedure respects the natural tissues of the tooth and does not weaken it.

Studio Dentaire has over 22 years’ experience serving patients in dental distress, and three dental surgeons with recognized expertise. As aesthetic treatments, veneers are not covered by the French Social Security system.

The price of a dental veneer at our Lyon practice ranges from €1,300 to €1,550 per veneer. Aesthetic check-ups cost €355 and are reimbursed up to €110 by the French social security system.
