Care and payment facilities
Social security reimbursements for dental care mainly cover scaling, cavity treatment, tooth extraction and root canalization. The out-of-pocket cost of a dental implant is high, as this procedure is considered out-of-nomenclature by the Assurance Maladie. However, some mutual and complementary health insurance companies offer a flat-rate or partial coverage, which can significantly reduce the out-of-pocket cost. Similarly, only a small proportion of ceramic crowns are reimbursed by the Assurance Maladie. For this reason, our dental practice in Lyon 3rd offers patients who request it solutions to facilitate their access to care:
- payment in 3 instalments (40% at the start of treatment, 30% in the middle and 30% at the end)
- a personalized schedule defined in advance with our care coordinator
The payment facilities apply to treatments for which a personalized estimate is provided. The price of a dental implant on this estimate will therefore not take into account care reimbursed by social security.
