Implant placement takes place in the operating room of our dental implantology practice, located in the heart of the Part-Dieu business district. The painless procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. It’s a minimally invasive procedure – much less invasive than tooth extraction, for example – with very few post-operative effects. In all cases, you will be given a prescription for anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medication before and after the treatment, to manage the risk of pain. At your first appointment with one of our three dentists, we’ll carry out a full oral and dental check-up to determine your needs and the feasibility of the procedure. The implant can be placed immediately after tooth extraction, or once the jawbone and gum tissue have healed. Your implantologist will advise you on the best solution for your situation. The procedure itself is fast and precise, thanks to a computer-assisted surgical technique. After making a small incision in the gum, we place the dental implant in the jawbone and close it gently with stitches to promote healing.
