Veneers – Dr Touati’s advice in Lyon

A dental veneer is a thin film of ceramic bonded to the outer surface of the tooth. Unlike a crown, the veneer allows only a small part of the tooth’s visible surface to be cut, keeping it alive. This veneer preparation technique is part of a modern concept of minimally invasive dentistry that promotes tissue preservation. Old restorations and decay are removed to create sufficient space for the ceramic, while minimizing tissue alteration of the natural tooth. Veneers provide a spectacular, natural aesthetic result. They can be recommended for masking discoloration, correcting tooth shade, size, shape or alignment.

Our practice specializes in the application of very thin ceramic (or porcelain) veneers bonded to the visible outer surface of the teeth.

This method can even be used to modify the shape of teeth and correct certain alignment imperfections, while preserving the vitality of the teeth. The aesthetic result is spectacular. A single tooth or a complete row of teeth can be shaped according to your wishes.

After the veneers have been tried in, they are bonded to the outside of the teeth using a special ceramic adhesive. Our practice offers a 5-year guarantee on all bonded veneers.
